We’re two people in a constant Game of Chicken.
Wikipedia defines the game of chicken as an influential model of conflict for two players in game theory. The principle of the game is that while each player prefers not to yield to the other, the worst possible outcome occurs when both players do not yield.
One of us will suggest something, and the other will agree. We keep moving forward, each waiting to see if the other will back down, but usually, no one does. So far, unlike Wikipedia’s definition, the best possible outcome occurs when neither yields.
Our newest game of chicken is taking us on an adventure to the other side of the world. Someone proposed the idea of moving to New Zealand, and the other agreed. We kept discussing it, each expecting the other to come up with a reason we should back out. Neither did. So now, here we are, on our way to New Zealand.
Follow us to keep up with what we’re doing and where our next games of chicken will take us!
